Who will pay for the Cornwall Residential License Bureaucracy – Tenants or Taxpayers?

The City of Cornwall is currently seeking feedback on creating a Residential License system. The City has a proposed By-law and fee structure. We wanted to know how much it would cost to run the bureaucracy needed to manage this new licensing system and who was going to pay for it.

Our findings are that the TAXPAYER will be on the hook for up to $2.1 million per year in additional taxes.
