A message from the President   Denis Carr Pic

Welcome to the Cornwall & Area Chamber of Commerce. The voice of the business community and the community at large since 1890, the Chamber is proud to be celebrating its 125th anniversary, making it one of the oldest business associations in the province of Ontario.
Since it was established over a century ago, the Chamber has been an advocate on issues that impact Cornwall’s economic growth and prosperity. Working with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce  and its provincial counterparts, it brings a strong voice to all levels of government.
The Chamber offers a broad range of benefits to its members from fuel discounts to preferred credit and banking fees, group insurance plans, and many other affinity programs, all focused on business growth, success, and prosperity.
With a focus on its community, the Cornwall Chamber presents a variety of programs. Its consumer focused Home Shows attract thousands of visitors and allows merchants to showcase the latest in products and services. It hosts networking and professional development activities, and its Business Excellence Awards and Citizen of the Year Banquet is one of Cornwall’s most distinguished affairs.
The Chamber has played a significant role in the revitalization of Cornwall’s urban core. Heart of the City, an initiative created by the Chamber has seen close to $50 million invested in a variety of projects in the downtown, Le Village, and along the Brookdale corridor.
A highlight of the Chamber’s 2015 series of events was the recently held Ontario Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting and Convention. Bringing more than 150 business professionals from across the province, the event and our City earned outstanding praise from delegates and was judged by the OCC’s President and CEO as one of the best ever presented.
As the Chamber continues in its anniversary year, it will continue work with Cornwall’s Council and Administration in a collaborative approach to economic growth and prosperity. It will continue to develop and deliver programs that benefit both its members and the community at large. And, it will continue to advocate, on behalf of the City and surrounding region.
